As a smoker myself I just go outside to smoke now(even in the rain lol)I choose to smoke not them. I try to minimise any alien factors(smoke, deoderant fumes etc) to the reps.

I blame the smoking ban, may have made it better for the general public, in places such as pubs, restaurants etc, but talking from the view point of someone who has serious lung problems, I do believe that come time, this ban will cause more damage in the long run, to our kids, who wont feel the effects of passive smoking till they are in their 30's +.

so in effect............the reptiles have no chance!

ok prepairin to get head bit of here. but anyway.

i do not, nor would allow anyone to smoke infront of my animals, nor my children, but this is my choice, and i can only enforce this to a point aswell, as i wouldnt stop someone from smokin in there own house tho, alans dad smokes, but he smokes in the kitchen and the boys are not allowed in there.

both me and alan were smokers, and i stopped smokin when i found out i was pg with george, and alan stopped smokin around me and in the house ect. and completely stopped when i was 6 months pg ( over the new yr holidays) the house we are in has never been smoked in, (well apart from prev owners ect).

so yes i agree its best to not smoke in front of kids or ur pets ect, but i would never force my opnion on ANYONE.

but as for the smokin ban, i do not think that this has put kids at risk, as if i still smoked tbh if i was going to smoke in front of the kids i would, being able to smoke in a pub would not affect stop me smokin in the car with ma kids.
yeh i dont like how there is always a dozen people outside a pub smokin, but i were else are they to go, i would rather they were outside, than in the pub.

they way i see it, is if u are going to smoke infront of ur kids then u will, just because u cant smoke in the pub, does not mean u are going to go ohhhhh i will have to smoke in the car in front of the kids, !!!!!!!!!!

Don't know why your head would get bitten for what you've wrote Claire. To me it makes sense. The ban didn't make people choose to smoke in cars because they couldn't smoke publicly in bars etc. Those smoking in cars with children in the back were already doing it pre-ban. And as for impossing one own opinion on another isn't a good thing either Click here to enlarge

I gotta admit, theres been some good points raised on this thread and I'm glad for them. I feel now, confident in my choice to keep my girls in my bedroom where it is the most smoke free room in the flat without being overly paranoid about the effect my smoking has on them. It just means if I want a large collection. I need to stop smoking or get a bigger flat. A house even, that way I could go out the back door and contaminate my lungs with major ventilation. heh.

Can't wait to see your collection next wednesday btw Click here to enlarge

If I want a cig id rather go outside, for several factors 1)animals 2) the cream walls in my house 3) it stinks the house out and 4) ants dont smoke so he moans
Just personal prefferances really but i dont think it would be good for the animals tbh.
    I wouldnt risk it
