    Default back legs

i had a beardie that lost the power in her back legs about 6 months ago possibly longer. i eventually had too get her put down as she kept on ending up on her back, has anyone else ever had this problem? she was 8 year old. i'm not sure if she fell of her log and done some damage that way or if it was down to something else. the xrays showed nothing wrong.

    ok, just a quick review:
that problem can be due to some different things:
    orthopedical or neurologycal problems:
-pelvis damages (not the case if the Xrays were negative)
-spine damages (not the case if the Xrays were negative)
-discal protrusion/estrusion not visible through Xray because of the small size of the animal that can lead to neurologycal problems for the medullar compression.
-tumours (intra ox extra medullar ones) for primary effects or just because of the compression
    -osteomalacia
    -primary medullar degeneration
    -secondary medullar degeneration
    -hypo/Hyper vitaminosis
    -brain damages
    -food poisonning
    -some bacterial infections

a neurologycal test shoud be done to see if sensitiveness is still present and to locate the problem.
    just my 2 cents

    How about MBD?
Know that can cause similar problems.
I had a rescue female beardie, Bonnie, who was jumped upon by a big male ad she ended up loosing the use of her back legs.
There was no breaks on the x-ray, but the Vet suggested MBD. That the weak bones couldn't handle the weight of the male etc.........?
