    heard about that about two years ago lol
    really intresting really, makes you think more about the oragins of venomous snakes

    Origins of venomeous snakes prob occured from evolution of them working a more sophisticated way for them to kill their prey when compaired to constricting. Crushing prey has its problems as the prey can sometimes wriggle free or gnaw into the snake if the head is free. A delivery system through fangs which kills prey quickly avoids this and some venoms can start to digest prey easing digestion, a period where a snake is more vunerable.

    The fact that some snakes are still non vemoneous also shows how good a predator in nature they are

    Amazing you learn something new every day. Still I think they are an amazing animal but would'nt want a cuddle from one lol

    yeah on nat geo wild, the documentary was from 2006 i think they achuly said all monitor species have a mild for of venom hence the massive swelling from bites by largers speicies.
