    Default inbreeding beardies

can anyone help, last year i sold 2 baby beardies to a mate of mine (male and female) the problem is there breeding like wild fire, he's had 5 clutches of eggs of them. the 1st 2 clutches failed but his 3rd clutch are close to hatching and seemingly looking good. what are the problems with beardies inbreeding, will these beardies turn out ok,

i believe it is fine for maybe one generation but wouldn't recommend it because any genetic flaws in the brother and sister may be more evident in the offspring. I would recommend splitting the two up and letting her use up the sperm she has so after that no more will be prodused

usually the eggs should be a lot smaller hence the beardies size is smaller also, and the life expectancy is decreased. Think this is a 2nd or 3rd generation thing but I would not reconmend 1st gen as being absolutely fine either.

As above i believe its fine for the first generation... but if you take the 2nd generation and breed them back thats a huge no no. however 5 clutches of eggs is a lot, so his female must be so stressed, and theres also already plenty of baby beardies out there needing homes. personally if i was your friend i'd seperate them quickly.
