Default California Kingsnake Questions, can someone help?

I purchased a California Kingsnake 2 months ago and everything seems to be going well until lately. He doesn't seem interested in eating and has shedded his skin twice in 2 months. Is this normal? (He's 2 years old) I hope someone can help x

As long as he's big and healthy, he should be ok. Our Kings go through stages of not eating. And as for the shedding, it should be ok. Our smaller ones tend to shed every 6 weeks or so, older ones about every 8 weeks. But we did take on a rescue corn that shed every 3-4 weeks when we first got him! Was due to the steroids that he was on apparently.

I think you will find its the time of year . Its more than likely that the king thinks its brumation time. But if you have him /her as a pet then I would not bother with sleeping it.
