Contico were bought over by Curver, who have discontinued them.

Think Rintouls in Bathgate still has some Conticos in stock.

really useful boxes are ideal, they are easily drilled or soldered, are very secure for snakes thicker than your finger but not for babies such as corn hatchling as they can escape between the gap on the lid, unless you put them in the tiny really useful box. You can buy them online, from staples and i also seen them in costco as well, but staples have offers on them, they are easily washed/hosed down as well

the old style contico box was rubbish, they were only good up to the medium size, then they would start getting flexible and some snakes can get out them as they are weak on the lid, they also go that yukky colour .

    go for really usefull boxes,

    linda :)

I'd go for RUBs too, much nicer, stronger, lockable lids, come in a nice range of colours, easy to clean, cheap and as Linda said earlier, don't go yucky colour with age like the Contis do.

Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

    Chris.

I'd be cautious of using Really Useful Boxes with smaller snakes, there have been a few cases of snakes having their heads stuck in the gap around the inside of the lid, and hanging themselves.
