well ive been in both shops a good few times now and to be honest havent got a bad word to say about them they dont mind spending the time with you and they dont try sell you anything they let you ask and decide whats best for you which is a rare thing in a pet shop from what ive had dealings with.

To clear up the 2ft thing they will tell you when you going in they measure from nose to vent(bum lol) and they tell you that i find it very friendly and take my wee girl along most of the time and they even answer her questions and she asks alot lol

So i cant say a bad word against them but again this is just my opinion

When I asked the staff at the Barrowlands NeonGecko if they stocked aspen they laughed, told me it was rubbish and that I might as well burn the stuff.

Fair enough, they don't like it. But other people do and it's not really fair to be spoken to as though I'm an idiot because I use an aspen substrate for my snakes when the majority of others do as well. :/

One of the boys in my work on Friday told me that NG/Paisley are selling a Royal Python for £30 because it's not well, apparently it is a bit thin? Has anyone been in recently and can shed further light?

I saw that wee garter they got in with the missing tail and how thin it was and not eating, but I got it a few days ago and let me tell you Andy (Paisley) has nursed it back to health very well indeed!!! Chomping down goldfish and a rat pup. Stunning wee guy :)

Plus Davy (Glasgow) lets me play with the birds hehehe

Hmmm. I dunno he's always upfront about their conditions etc. He had a look at our wee burm as well the other day as it hasn't eaten yet and gave a few suggestions. Honestly don't know what I'd do without the Neon lot!

Maybe the boy in work meant the Glasgow NG? I must check with him. Thanks for asking anyway Bella. I was just curious what was wrong with it.

it could maybe have just been a mix up with the price? we saw a wee one in a box by itself (not with all the other royals which are housed together). looked tiny but in saying that could just have been really young.

    gibbering nonsense now lol xx

Called Neon Gecko a week or so ago to price a female hognose hatchling and they wanted £150 and said the ones they had in were "too small to sex"......If there's one thing I hate, it's being lied to! Even if they had said "sorry we dont have the right equipment to probe small snakes" I'd have been happy, but instead they lied...

Cabt say i agree with that in the slightest, many people throughout the reptile community, myself included will not probe small snakes, there is much less margin for error and accidents cn happen

ye arent hognose hatchlings tiny? would be difficult to probe accurately at that size as there would be hardly any diffrence between male and female

definately. Seems only sensible to me, would be very intricate, the chances of doing damage massively increased
