    Default prorep heat mat (unused) not sellin anymore im sorry

    i bought this heat mat today and once i got it home and opened it i was told it wasn't needed (pet shop swore i needed it)

    so now since i don't need it i thought i would sell it as i cn't take it back once its been opened

    it is a 280mm x 280mm 12w

    cost me ?18.99

    i'm going to sit in the corner and rage at this now lol

    bearded dragons

    it came up in passin convo n to cut a long story short they said i needed it for night time (but keep it on 24/7) and i said well do i need a hermastat cause it will get warmer in the viv thru the day and they were like nah just set ur regular timer to go off every few hours for while :S

    I would use a heat mat for Beardies mate, helps with nightime temps.

    I used fluro tube and spotlights during the day but turned off during nightime.

    where would i put it tho as i have a wooden viv nd sand as substrate, also i don't have a temp regulator for anything as i was told i wouldn't need one

    I had mine on the floor, under the sand. It was wired up to the lighting so wasn't on during the day as lighting created enough heat, just came on at night when lights were off

    Rot! You don't need one during the day as lights should create the heat for you but imo you would need one to help with nightime temps.

    Hey leanne you can use a heatmat for your beardie its not really needed unless its in a cold room, maybe during winter just to keep the temp about 65F. Prob best burying it under the sand and DEF use a thermostat with it.

    the main question i have on my iggy is if he is a freddy or a fredrina! cause a few folk have went ooohh nice female and im like ye what?!?! lol i was told he was male but after buying him i found out the place isn't that reputable :( so now i feel bad that i might have a wee girly that is named after a horror movie character!
