Viv stack build

Okay, i am turning my spare (empty) bedroom into a snake room, so the plan is to have 2 stacks of 5 medium sized vivs and about 6 large vivs with racking for hatchlings. I know i am long away from this but each step at a time so i thought i would use this thread to keep everyone updated.

This is the first 5 viv stack ready to be turned into vivs, hope you like i have sat Griffin my 08 royal inside for scale, the width of each is 30 inches.

Ok, i have done a bit more work to the vivs, i have drilled holes for the vents and put them on, and attached the runners.

Just got the perspex, heat equipment and furnishings then im ready for snakes

I will keep updating the thread as i get more done. I put a medium exo terra hide in one of the vivs for scale.

p.s. what way would you all put the vents on, the inside or outside of the vivs?

I put the vents on the inside on the back wall, if the snake push against them they will not come out. And your not left with seeing the rough edge on the other side. You have placed the vents on the side walls, it looks a little neater if they are on the back wall I think.

Its looking great tho, have you used book cases? or make it up yourself.

I couldnt put the vents on the back because it is quite flimsy, it is made from a bookcase. The vents are siliconed in place so hopefully no snake escapes lol

each viv will be approx 80cm wide 40cm front to back and 30cm tall

Okay, i just got the perspex for the doors, so i thought i would show you all a few pics of the perspex with the film on, the film off and then the handles on. This means i just have to put in the heating and furnishings and then they are all complete, ready for snakes !!!!!!!!
